Participants who have taken an introductory training in the past, and require a review of material, while continuing to expand on their skill level and understanding would benefit from this training.
The structure of this workshop reviews the core components and strategies of MI, presenting and exploring them in new ways with emphasis on strengthening the skills previously acquired and implementing them into more natural and flowing conversations with people.
Advanced
This training expands on the skills, strategies, and concepts that were introduced in previous training while facilitating focused development of the more deliberate, guiding elements of Motivational Interviewing conversations.
Through this training participants will further develop proficiency in MI, and confidence in their ability to apply MI fluidly in various conversations in the context of their practice.
Individual & Group Consults
Coaching offers the opportunity to practice and develop skills in applying the model in the context of a safe and supportive learning environment with the trainer. Sessions can be booked as an individual or in small groups.
This platform is the most effective in skill development and creates a safer learning environment to ask direct questions regarding implementation of MI, specific case samples, and most importantly, to practice using the model and receive MI-consistent strengths based feedback on how to further develop skills toward proficiency in the model.
Peer Coaching
Ensure the continuity and sustainability of your training investment by having your own staff trained in teaching the skills to others and supporting ongoing skill development in the model. Training key members of your staff to be mentors and coaching champions among your team can support the efficacy of your training investment by ensuring you have champions in place who learn key techniques and strategies to support the ongoing engagement, learning, and skill development of your team.
